Description

Compaction Pliers, also known as Bone Crimpers or Krimpers, are used to shape the bone portion of bone-patellar tendon-bone grafts during ACL and PCL reconstruction. The instrument compresses and molds the graft to create a uniform circular bone plug that passes through the tibial drill hole and seats within the femoral socket.

By creating a consistent geometric match between the graft and the prepared tunnels, the instrument helps support accurate placement and secure fixation. The actual molded diameter is 0.75 mm smaller than the stated instrument size, allowing easier graft insertion while maintaining bone memory characteristics.
